""If God created the world, who created God?"
Perhaps the toughest question ever asked of me, and by a 9-year-old at that, in a children's church membership class.
I tried to ignore it. And probably was successful, for a while. but to this day the question lingers, as though perpetually hanging in space.
It's rather a lot like asking what to do when you get to the jumping off place. Jump? Turn back? Stop dead in your tracks?
Truth is, God is the beginning and end of all questions. When stumped, you simply say, '"God did it."
When you think about it, it's an awesomely wonderful answer.
If the answer were Nothing, or I don't know, you'd still be facing the Why.
Why don't you know? Why can't you answer ''something"?
Because my answer was, and is, an honest one. I have. no idea who or what was before God. And I am no different from any other human being, living or dead.
We're human. We're not God. We have to live not knowing what only God knows.
What a great way to live. Imperfect we are and will forever be. Otherwise, how dull things would be.
