Ty Lang (photo) was very excited when two years ago Ballinger hired him as the new head football coach, replacing Chuck Lipsey, who retired; however, after the Bercats won only one game in his two seasons at the helm. PB suspects that Lang has calmed down a good bit.
But 2024 is a new season for Lang and his team, especially new since they will be playing in 2A for the first time in 13 years. (They were moved down from 3A in the realignments.)
Lang does not expect the competition to be any less stiff; but with 12 starters returning and Cade Stro\be and Kyson Weathers (photo below) battling one another at the qb position, plus Asen Ochoa anchoring both sides of the line, Lang expects his team to win more.
