Help for the Violently Ill

Watching Thomas Crooks’ attempt to assassinate Trump, to b honest, I was grateful he was not an immigrant who had taken it upon himself to get rid of Trump.

But Crooks is not an isolated individual.  There are many “Anglos” and “others” like him who were raised in the USA but have yet to find a place for themselves, thus they strike out violently.   We need to do a better job of finding out who these people are, where they live…and track them to the best of our abilities.  In general, we all can abhor violence and try to help persons we know who are “lost’ in this world.

Churches can help.  For often lonely or isolated people first seek help in the places that help is supposed to be offered, by pastors and other faith-leaders.

Violent prone persons are sick.  They are mentally ill.  They need help.  But the help must be strong and well guided itself.  Sick ministers and mentally unstable counselors cannot help people who are like themselves.

May the Good Lord bless and keep us physically well off, but most importantly always clear-headed and full of Hope.
