Israel Is Losing, And?

Israel has the strongest and best army in the Middle East. Thus, it is no surprise that it has apparently maintained the upper hand throughout its conflict with Hamas.

But, as we well know, appearances can be deceiving. In reality, Israel is losing the war, and it will. The photos we get from the conflict are mostly not the photos of Israeli soldiers conquering Hamas on the battlefield, no, they are photos like the one we have of a starving child.

Adults are also starving in Gaza, bringing certain death to its victims but also ultimate defeat to the people often thought of as "God's nation."

Shame and disgrace already are adhering to Israel, more so than at any other time since the creation of Israel post WWII.

But some might say, Israel cannot be held so lastingly accountable; starvation occurs in all wars.

In the current war, however, things are different. Israel has had a choice; to allow the starvation or to stop it; and for the most part, it has sided with allowance.

The world cannot and will not tolerate Israel's intolerance, no matter how well Israeli soldiers do in their armed conflicts. The frightening photos of starving adults are sufficient unto themselves; those of the starving children are more than sufficient.

What an embarrassment to Israel itself, but even more so, to the United States.

What has made us so supportive of a nation that starves its enemies? A serious lapse in our memory, that's what. We forgot for a time Israel's role in the starvation, and we allowed it to continue.

We can do better. We must do better. We must, that is, if we want to maintain our reputation as being the finest nation the world has ever known.

Yes, it's true. The USA is the BIG loser.

But things don't have to end that way. We in the USA can see to that!
