Putt Asks, Who'll Try Not to Make More Money?

ree
Our society is obsessed with making money and gaining power. Were that not the case, we'd spend more time in church and in individual prayer.

But that's not where we are in 2025. We admire the most those people who have made loads of money and, thus, have acquired a good deal of power, politically and socially. And because many of us do not fit well with those who have so succeeded, we feel guilty and are very displeased with ourselves. So, in desperation. we try to change our wrong ways to those that will actually put a great deal of additional money in our bank accounts.

Mostly, we're not very good at making lots of money. Sure, we can make enough to buy a home and make purchases. But what is the result? We're deeper in debt and awaiting the day when we can call it quits and pass on to our children what we may or may not have been able to accomplish money-wise.

We're much better, it seems, at not making enough money. Most of us, that is. So, the obvious solutions to the messes we make is: to cease trying to make lots and lots of money and be satisfied with what we've done.

So, I suggest go to a church, and one is hard to find, that does not preach the supreme value of making lots of dough. Also, cut down on your expenses, that will help you acquire less and be more satisfied with yourself.

I must add: if you're married, your spouse may well object to your desire to make less money. (Most spouses, male and female, want more.) So, if you cannot get your spouse to accept earning less, file for divorce and find yourself a partner who is as interested as you in having less.

Of course, our system may not work well with your new attitude. So, you may have to consider going to a country, or finding some unearning space in your own, and go there to earn less and desire less.

Be assured. It works, this having less of an obsession with how much money we can acquire. I know.
