Putt Says #1

BE HUMBLE, BUT NOT DUMB. . .

A big problem for many people is the lack of self-confidence. They hesistate to give an opinion or take a needed action. They wait for others to lead. In reality, many times such utter humility is self-defeating. The person intent on being humble gets pounced upon and, often, tossed aside.

Know this, friend: You are your best ally. You have convictions. You have had experience in many fields. You're alive and trying to do your best, which says to one and all that you should not be hesitant about doing or saying what you intuitively know is needed.

Also, know this: When you speak up or take a necessary action, you are proposing a solution to whatever problem or problems may be confronting you. the worst thing you can do is to do nothing; you're asking for pain, and very likely, you're going to get it.

You don't need to shout to make your voice heard; you need only to speak clearly and with confidence. Say things like, I believe or I think this is what ought to be done.

People WILL listen. They always do. If they know you, they already respect you and want to know what you have to say or want to do.

Yes, follow through. Pursue the action you think necessary, with a measure of humility of course. And be ready to change, if what you are saying or doing is not working but only adding to your problem.
