The Best Half-Time Speech I've Ever Heard

The score 2as 31-15, at the halftime of a boys game against our archrival, a team we had beaten on their home court about three weeks earlier, 45-42.


Coach was not happy as the team trekked down the hail-floor to his office. Some five minutes, and I entered the office to observe (my greatest contribution.


When 10 minutes were passed, with only silence around the office, the referee knocked on the door, opened it and said, "Coach, time for the second half."


Everyone stood, as Coach declared, "Alright, girls, let go up back to the court and see what you can do in the second half."

We won the game 39-36, holding our opponent to but five points in the second half.
