Unlikely Duo, Ropes and Tahoka, Looking for Respect

Ropes (5-0) and Tahoka (4-1) battle one another. in Tahoka, this Friday, October 11, to determine which will be the leader of District 3 in 2AD1.


To date, they have had no opponent in common.  Seagraves and Plains also should be considered District 3 contenders. Smyer and Sundown are winless in pre-district play.


Beau Riker is the Ropes head football coach. Cody Bounds claims the same position for Tahoka.

Among their 5 wins the Ropes Eagles have shutout their last opponents:  42-0 over Sudan, 49-0 over Olten and 44-0 over Forsan.  Tahoka shutout SATLCA 56-0 in their opener on August 30.
