When Our Christian Faith Is Healthy

We welcome the contributions of Biblical scholars. And we also welcome opinions that differ from theirs.

Unfortunately, the faith of many church members is often not healthy. for it is closed to growing in faith-understanding.

A healthy Christian strives to "increase in wisdom and in stature" as Jesus did (Luke 2;52)

A healthy Christian is not stuck in a literal interpretation of the scriptures. In fact, he or she is most interested in learning everything possible about Christianity's holiest writings.

A Healthy Christian is open-minded, unafraid of new ideas.

A healthy Christian seeks constantly to grow in faith, not remain static but constantly looking to receive a richer understanding of faith.

Is your Christian faith healthy? Try learning more from those who make that their business.

My testimony: I have earned four degrees in my studies, three of which are in Christian theology; and I have been taught by some awesomely great teachers. And if I were younger, I'd try for yet another degree. And even today, I want to learn what our fined Christian scholars are saying; for they are constantly teaching me and others.
