Two preseason title picks, Post and Sunray, go against one another this week in the Regionals. The winner will definitely emerge as the prime choice to win the title.
Meanwhile, other teams beg to differ; Cisco and Waskom are always highly competitive at this point in a season. And further south the much-anticipated battle between Ganado and Refugio will take place and should cause some tremors around the south Plains.
And let's not overlook Mason, which is yearning for a shot at either Refugio or Ganado.
Too, we must not overlook the less publicized teams, like Kerens. Axtell and Hamilton, Remember, after more than 13 weeks of hard-nosed football, they're still in the hunt.
