Can Stratford Reclaim the 2AD2 Title?

After a brief sojourn in 2AD1, the Elks are back in 2AD2, which they won in 2021, defeating Falls City for the title.

In the summer of 2023, eight-year head Coach Matt Lovvorn resigned to take a position with his alma mater, Canyon High. Immediately, the Statford school board promoted assistant Jon Henry to replace Lovern. And wow! What a first year he had, 14-1, losing only to Tolar in the state semi-final. Sixteen starters return from the 2023 team, including the highly versatile Bryce Braden at quarterback and helping Braden lead the team will be wide rece8ver/linebacker Julio Valdez.

Several pundits are naming The Elks #1 in their 2024 preseason rankings for 2AD2, with Albany #2 and Shiner #3.
