Cranes Turning Necks in Their Direction

Two years ago, the Crane ISD named Michael Pittman as its new AD and head football coach.  It was a return to Crane for Pittman where he had been an assistant before he began working as head of the Post program for 10 years.

The Cranes were 8-4 in 2022, Pittman’s first year back, and also 8-4, in his second year.  They compete in a four-member district, which means the teams play each other twice:  Alpine, Compass Academy, Crane and Anthony.

Alpine and Crane are the fiercest of rivals; they meet on October 4, in Crane and again on Nov 1, in Alpine.

Key returnees for the Cranes will be quarterback Tyson Brents (photo) and lineman Aaron Padilla.
