Even-Headed Thinking, a Must

It is ever too easy to become frustrated, even angry, when immersed in a presidential campaign.  Mean-spirited words are aimed at our candidate, even at the candidate not of our choosing.

We must remain calm.  Losing an election is not the end of the world, nor is winning by the barest of margins.   Also, it’s important to keep in mind that words are used so randomly in politics, often without authentic justification, they are used improperly.

We must be optimistic.   Most likely we will still be on this planet when the election is decided; and our lives will not have changed very much, if at all.  Eternity waits.

Then finally, we must carefully choose what we read and how we utilize the thoughts therein that we consume.   The experts we consult should themselves be calm and optimistic, open to change, but determined to continue as sanely as possible even when it may seem that the world has gone crazy.

Love yourself.  Your ideas, your feelings, your hopes and dreams—they are the most important of all!!
