How to Win a State Title, Ganado?

Updated: Aug 1

What makes the Ganado Indians such a strong candidate to win 2AD1 division in 2024? One answer looms large immediately: senior QB Bryce Ullman

But Bryce is not alone is bringing highly competitive football to livestock land.

Head FB Coach Josh Ervin is only in his third year at that position but already proving his ability to mold a strong eleven.

Also, Coach Ervin and Bryce will have key returning receivers to help them make the Indians what promises to be one of the state’s highest scoring teams.

In many respects, the Ganado Indians of 2024 remind football fans in the area of the state championship teams produced by recently retired Jason Herring at Refugio.  The Indians of 24 should score almost at will, by the pass or the run; and they will also be strong on defense.

Opposing teams will have to outscore them to beat them, obviously.

But however talented the Indians are, and however fine their coaching, those factors alone do not win state titles.  A winning attitude on the part of coaches and players combined is absolutely essential as is their ability, one and all, to persevere; you win a game, well and good; but there’s another one coming up, and it may be tougher than the last one.

Lastly, but far from least, is the necessity for a title-winning team to have exceptionally strong fan support.    There has to be cheering in the stands come game time and friendly support from the fans throughout each week

Whichever way the season closes out in December, Puttbeat wishes the Ganado Indians a fine season, one filled with grand performances by players and coaches; and immensely ennoyed by sorts fans around the Lone Star.
