Thursday Night Shadows, Reagan County vs. Olney

A unique game site (McMurry University, Abilene) and a new head coach with a new offense combine to make predictions concerning Thursday's game impossible to predict.

In late May, the Olney school board lured Chris Tobola from Tomball to become head football coach, replacing Josh Powers, who held the job for only one year, having replaced long-time head coach Jody Guy.

Already, Tobola has installed the veer offense, with Camron McCormack as his quarterback.

But Reagan County will have its own mysteries, beginning with the fact that Head Coach Kyle Brown is still in a learning mode, having previously been the head basketball coach and a principal, first of the junior high, then of the high school. There's no doubt he'll be relying heavily on his 6'5" quarterback Kason Brown and his wide-receiver brother, along with the return of several players at key positions; namely, seven linemen on each side of the field.
