When a Competitive Team Appears to Come Out of Nowhere
Every once in a while, a competitive team emerges as though out of nowhere; there was little advance information available. The Trinity Leadership Tigers of Cedar Hills fall into that category for 2024.
The Tigers are off to a great 2024 start (5-0) in District 8 of 3AD2, only their third year to compete interscholastically as a Texas Leadership School, all under head coach Derrick Adams.
Previously the school the Tigers represented competed in TAAS/ It has two “freelance” years before entering interscholastic competition in 2022. The tigers were 3-7 in 2022; then 8-6 in 2023.
Formerly, Derrick Adams was head football coach for Dawson High in Oklahoma City and offensive line coach for Lancaster, Tx. Adams is a De Soto, Tx native, a graduate of McMurry University. and also holds the Med from Arkansas State University.
But the season is far from over for Trinity Leadership. For one, it has tough competition in District 8 from Gateway and Scurry-Rosser. The Tigers travel to Gateway on Friday, October 4th, then to Scurry-Rosser on November 8th.
