When a Surprise Is Not. . .a Surprise


To be undefeated (7-0) at this point in 2024 is a welcomed stat for any Texas high school team, but this year, especially for one 3AD1 team:  The Bushand  Falcons of District 1.


In 2023, the Falcons lost to Paradise 36-24 in an area sub-region matchup; and in 2022 (with a 11-2 record) to Brock in a sub-regional, 51-27.

But just how good the 2024 Falcons are under head coach Josh Reynolds is about to be seriously tested by Shallowater (5-2), The Mustangs have recent, strong victories over Canadian and Pecos. And they are at home for their October 25 encounter with the Falcons.


Quaid Ferris. all 6'4" of him, excels for the Falcons as the quarterback.
