Win or Lose, How to Be Happy

We humans are complex.  We say we want to win, virtually in all aspects; but when we lose we often have difficulty handling the loss.

But some among us are different.  Either way, win or lose, some among us remain who they are: happy people.  What is their secret?  I’ve asked myself that question numerous times and have arrived at three answers that are always changing, depending on the nature of the loses.

In the first instance, winning isn’t everything.  Happy people recognize that living can go either way.  Everyone has their setbacks, and their victories.

Thus, it is:  losing is just another happening, not to be taken of ultimate significance.

Secondly, happy people love life.  Thy are glad to be alive, really and truly.  They are not always wishing they were alive at some other place, at some other time.

This is it.  Enjoy.  That’s the way happy people think.

Lastly, happy people look forward, hoping that no matter what they do not have in the present, they believe things can and will always get better.   This too shall pass; such is their way of dealing with misfortune.

Life is good, meant to be enjoyed.

Love it and live it!
